Mission of Reconciliation
People coming alongside people.
Across America, people are carrying wounds, broken relationships, fear, unforgiveness, shame, isolation, and burdens they were never meant to carry alone.
Mission of Reconciliation exists to mobilize followers of Jesus who are willing to love people, walk with them, pray with them, open Scripture together, and point them toward the healing, freedom, and restoration found in Jesus Christ.
The Need
The need is all around us.
You do not have to look far to find someone carrying pain.
Marriages are struggling.
Families are fractured.
People are isolated.
Past wounds continue shaping present relationships.
Unforgiveness becomes bitterness.
Lies become identities.
Fear becomes bondage.
And many people quietly carry these things while sitting in churches, going to work, raising families, and trying to move forward.
Jesus never intended His people to walk alone. Mission of Reconciliation believes followers of Jesus can come alongside one another with love, truth, prayer, Scripture, forgiveness, and genuine relationship.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
This is not something reserved for professionals. It is part of what it means to be the body of Christ.
What Is Mission of Reconciliation?
Helping people walk in freedom.
Mission of Reconciliation comes alongside people who desire greater healing, freedom, reconciliation, and wholeness in Jesus Christ.
Through relationship, biblical truth, prayer, forgiveness, repentance, and renewing the mind, we help people bring difficult and broken places before Jesus.
All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation.
We do not believe we are the ones who fix people. Jesus is the healer, restorer, and source of freedom.
Our role is to love people, come alongside them, and point them toward Him.
The Restoration Journey
Three movements, walked together.
Recognize
Bring what has been hidden into the light.
Together, prayerfully recognize wounds, unforgiveness, fears, lies, destructive emotions, spiritual strongholds, or patterns influencing how we think and live.
Respond
Bring it to Jesus.
Respond through prayer, forgiveness, repentance, surrender, and Scripture. We are not simply analyzing the past. We are inviting Jesus into the places that have shaped us.
Renew
Learn to walk in freedom.
Replace lies with truth. Renew the mind. Understand our identity in Christ. Learn practical biblical patterns that allow us to keep walking with Jesus long after the formal restoration process is complete.
What It Looks Like
Relationship, not a program.
- Someone to walk with you
- You do not have to process everything alone. Someone comes alongside you to listen, pray, encourage, and help you process what God may be revealing.
- A place to be honest
- People should be able to speak honestly about wounds, relationships, unforgiveness, fear, sin, shame, or areas where they feel stuck without feeling condemned.
- Scripture and truth
- Everything continually points people toward Jesus, God's Word, and their identity in Christ.
- Seeking Jesus together
- Prayer is not something being performed on someone. We seek Jesus together.
- Walking forward
- The goal is never dependence upon Mission of Reconciliation. The goal is increasing dependence upon Jesus, and learning how to recognize lies, respond with truth, forgive, pray, renew the mind, obey Christ, and continue walking in freedom.
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
Mission of Reconciliation + USA Missionaries
Restoration that leads to discipleship.
Mission of Reconciliation works in partnership with USA Missionaries because restoration and discipleship belong together.
Reconciliation
Through Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God.
Restoration
Jesus brings truth, forgiveness, healing, and freedom into broken places.
Discipleship
We learn to follow Jesus, obey His commands, and put His Word into practice.
Multiplication
People who have been loved begin loving others. People who have been discipled begin discipling others. People who have experienced restoration begin coming alongside others.

Marty + Lauri Fox
A life poured out for Christ.
Marty and Lauri Fox gave their lives to the Lord in their late twenties.
Through discipleship, they began learning what it truly means to follow Jesus, build their lives on His Word, and raise a family that fears God and obeys His commands.
But they did not learn to follow Jesus alone. Throughout their lives, God placed incredible men and women around them who poured into them, discipled them, challenged them, loved them, and showed them what it looks like to genuinely follow Christ.
They learned that following Jesus means more than knowing the Word. It means doing the Word.
Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.
For nearly 30 years, Marty and Lauri have tried to do for others what faithful men and women once did for them.
- They have opened their home.
- Sat around kitchen tables.
- Walked with marriages and families.
- Prayed with people.
- Encouraged people through difficult seasons.
- Shared what God has taught them.
- And made themselves available when someone needed people willing to come alongside them.
They do not claim to have all the answers. They simply want to love people well, point them toward Jesus, and pour into others what God has spent decades pouring into them.
Don’t Waste Your Life
Retirement looks different when your life belongs to Jesus.
Marty and Lauri are entering a season when many people begin asking, “When can we retire?”
They are asking a different question: “How can we spend the rest of our lives for Jesus?”
In Don’t Waste Your Life, John Piper describes the tragedy of reaching the end of a life and having little to show for it but a collection of seashells — comfort accumulated, and not much else laid up for Christ. Marty and Lauri do not want the final chapter of their lives to simply be about comfort.

- Keep pouring into others what God has spent decades pouring into them.
For Marty and Lauri, this is not retirement. It is a life sold out to Christ until the very end.
